How to brew the perfect cup of Canton Chamomile

How to brew the perfect cup of Canton Chamomile

The soothing qualities of Canton Chamomile are best unlocked when they’re treated with care and brewed with consideration. Here’s how to make the most of this infusion, which we recommend enjoying after supper or before bed. As always, steep with care.

Measure out your water and the blend. With loose leaf, the ideal ratio for Canton Chamomile is 3g per 250ml. Otherwise, one pyramid per cup is perfect.
Use fresh filtered water to fill your kettle. Avoid reboiling the water as it changes the composition of the minerals, which in turn will affect the flavour of the tea.
Use the right temperature water. For Chamomile, 95° is perfect. You can catch the kettle just before it boils, or a temperature-controlled kettle is ideal.
Allow the blend to infuse for 4 minutes. Chamomile won’t over-infuse and bitter, it will just get stronger and stronger.

If you like it with an even stronger flavour, add more flowers and brew it longer. Be sure to hold onto all the benefits and flavour of Canton Chamomile by storing it in an airtight container away from light.
