How to brew the perfect cup of Canton Rooibos Glow

When you’ve invested in a blend as special as Canton Rooibos Glow, it’s worth truly respecting the leaves to ensure the best experience possible. Here’s how to brew the perfect cup. As always, steep with care.

Measure out your water and tea. With loose leaf, the ideal ratio for Canton Rooibos Glow is 3g per 250ml. Otherwise, one pyramid per cup is perfect.
Use fresh filtered water to fill your kettle. Avoid reboiling the water as it changes the composition of the minerals, which in turn will affect the flavour of the tea.
Use the right temperature water. For Rooibos Glow, 95° is perfect. You can catch the kettle just before it boils, but a temperature-controlled kettle is ideal.
Allow the tea to infuse for around 4 minutes to get the ideal balance of flavour. The characteristics of the infusion will change if you brew it shorter or longer – steeping for 2 or 3 minutes will give the infusion a stronger rooibos flavour, while longer will let the spearmint shine through.

Pour out your tea. If you have any liquor left in the pot, decant it out to a jug. If you leave it in the pot the spearmint will begin to dominate.

If you like a stronger flavour, it’s better to add more leaf rather than allowing it to brew longer. Be sure to hold onto all the benefits and flavour of Canton Rooibos Glow by storing it in an airtight container away from light.
